About us

• The Victorian Deer Association was incorporated in 1995 to promote stalking and hound hunting of deer.

• Membership is only $60 per year ($25 juniors) which includes subscription to our monthly magazine 'The Rub Tree'

• We meet once a month at Berwick to discuss current hunting issues, guest speakers provide education and entertainment, light supper is provided and a raffle is held.

• Visitors are welcome.

• Activities are held throughout the year including; hunter training weekends, 4WD trips, shooting competitions and club hunts.

• The Victoria Police Force has recognized us as an

• 'Approved Shooting Organisation'.

• The Bureau of Animal Welfare has approved us as an

• 'Approved Hunting Organisation'.

• The Department of Sustainability and Environment has authorised us to assess the suitability and register scent trailing hounds.
